Optimize Your Gut Health, Stave Off Infections
We already know that overuse of antibiotics is creating “super bugs” and becoming less and less successful at protecting us from infections. The answer to a strong immune system lies not in antibiotics, but rather in a healthy gut. Reset your gut flora and strengthen your immune system. 

Know what to eat:
Eat plenty of fermented and cultured foods are a great way to get the healthy bacteria, that your digestive system needs to function properly:

  • Yogurt
  • Kefir (like a drinkable yogurt)
  • Sauerkraut (fermented cabbage - German)
  • Kimchi (fermented cabbage - Asian)
  • Tempeh (made from fermented soybeans)
  • Miso (fermented paste used for drinks and flavorings)
  • Kombucha (fermented tea drink)

Take a probiotic supplement.

Equally important, what not to eat:

  • Antibiotics - Only take when absolutely necessary. If you do use them, make sure to reseed your gut with fermented foods and/or a probiotic supplement.
  • Mass-raised meats and other animal products raised with hormones. Unless labeled as “Organic” “Grass Fed” or “All Natural”, farm animals are routinely fed low-dose antibiotics and GMO grains.

  • Chlorinated and/or fluoridated water
  • Antibacterial soap
  • Buy Organic produce and avoid agricultural chemicals such as glyphosate
